About YardsAndBags

YardsAndBags builds simple, accurate calculators for the people who actually buy and place building materials — homeowners, DIYers, landscapers, and small contractors.

Our goal is a calculator that answers the real question ("how many bags do I need to buy?") and shows its work so you can trust it.

How our calculators work

Every calculator on YardsAndBags runs directly in your browser. The numbers you type are not sent to our servers or stored. Formulas are explained on each page so you can check the math yourself.

Accuracy

We test each calculator against worked examples and update them when standards, rates, or fees change. If you spot an error, please tell us and we will investigate promptly.
